Current Employment

  • September 1990 to Present: Disability Consultant.    Demonstrate, assist and disseminate on how individuals with disabilities are integrated into the mainstream of American life, including employment, education, business, politics, health care, and recreation.


  • March 2009 to Present: External Affairs Manager for Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD).


  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the development of a dynamic unit of experts and community relations focusing on jobs, transportation, employment and community relations.


  • August 2002 to February 2009: Partnership Specialist for Director of Vocational Rehabilitation.


  • Aggressively represented Vocational Rehabilitation and Department of Education issues at the United States Access Board, the Florida Transportation Disadvantage Commission, and the Florida Building Commission.


  • Continuously educated law makers and the community at-large regarding VR services for persons with disabilities and made frequent presentations at state and national conferences.

  • ADA Working Group (ADAWG)-Appointed by Governor Bush 1999-2006.


  • Florida Building Commission (FBC)-Appointed by Secretary of Community Affairs 2000. Reappointed 2005.


  • Transportation Disadvantaged Commission (TDC)-Appointed by Secretary of Education, 2001. Rate Review Committee Chair, 2005-2006. Appointed Chairman by Governor Bush, 2006-2011.


  • United States Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board/Access Board (US AB)-Elected by membership to the position of Vice-Chairman 2006-07; Former Chairman of Executive Committee and Subcommittee Chairman of Public Rights of Way (PROW) - Appointed by President George Bush, 2002-2011.


  • Leon County: Tallahassee Citizen's Advisory Committee (TCAC)-Reappointed by Chairman of County Commissioners 2003.


  • Help Americans Vote Act (HAVA)-Election Assistant Commission-Appointed to advisory board and technical guidelines committee. Appointed by Chairman, U.S. Access Board 2004.
